Introduction
During 2010 – 2011 I was working as a quality manager on a refinery project in Thessaloniki. On a daily basis, I had to deal with hundreds of pipe welds, as well as with their discontinuities. Since I had no previous experience in the particular field, I had to learn quick a lot of new stuff. Fortunately, I found a lot of useful information on the internet and my colleagues also help me to adapt to the new environment. In order to remember some main points regarding welding, I have prepared a presentation (37 slides) in which I include some basic information.

- Welder related and
- Welding safety
You shouldn’t expect a very deep analysis. However, the main points I believe that are outlined sufficiently.
